Talking about boxball

I played many games of "boxball" with my friends. This was played just like baseball, but the only equipment needed was a plain rubber ball and four items (they could be rocks, jackets, almost anything) to mark the bases. There was no pitcher, catcher or bat. The "batter" simply tossed the ball up and hit -- "boxed" -- it with his fist, hence the name. I was never any good.

  1. I just really want to expand on his list for a moment on what could be construed as a base.
A base could be jackets, hats, gloves, socks, shirts, pants, rocks, a book of stamps, stolen credit cards, white wigs (like ones george washington wore), a football (flattened), a rockem sockem robot ring (without the robots), a coiled up jump rope, a muffler, a well pointed laser, a dead squirrel or pet, a fake leg, a laptop case with velcro straps, castle grayskull, a knitted set of parenthesis, and almost anything else.
